The winch and the new opening

This winch was located on the 5th floor. This is one of those treasures which we have kept and are figuring out how to install it again... Unfortunately, we had to move it from there because an entrance from the 5th floor into the main staircase was necessary.

The upstairs of the building used to roast coffee beans way back when. Under the above winch located on the floor, there was an opening to the floor below. It was probably used for hoisting up items from below.
