Sophisticated Charm

Correction. The story of the... um, screaming couple.
Intimate Wow, how many times during a renovation project does one get to vent. Gina and I have known each other for over 20 years (yikes, did I say that?). Although we're a couple capable of finishing each others sentences, we both can admit that we still have that longstanding friendship preserving simple common respect. This renovation "project" could not have been done without her. Gina is a special care councelor and has recently returned to McGill to study social work. I would like to consider myself a musician and look forward to recording again. All in all, we feed our souls together. The venting happens when suppliers don't call or show up. That's a usual construction story.

Well, here's one incident we can both clearly remember. We were passing a wire from the garage to the floor above. I was on the floor above, Gina was in the garage. Unfortunately, we had communication problems.
"You can you push the wire now." Okay, a little louder this time... "CAn YOu PUsh THe WIre!"
"CAN YOU PUSH THE !@#$% WIRE"!!!
I quickly ran down to the garage from the second floor wondering what Gina was doing.
"Gina, what the heck are you doing? Where's the wire?" (he asks in a condescending tone).
"I've been yelling at the top of my lungs here Mitch, can't you hear me?" (she replies showing her teeth).
"Uh, no. Call me on your cell so we can communicate."

Which brings us back to the reason we poured concrete, floated the floors and filled all possible holes from one floor to the next. There is even an extra layer of taped gyproc on the ceilings on each floor that wasn't required by code but was added just the same. You do it once, you do it right. We wanted peace and quiet from one floor to the next. Mission accomplished!! (bu-dum- pum).
